The company provided insurance benefits to groups and individuals for 30+ years and insured over 200 group clients, as well as a large number of individuals. Jim has a passion for the insurance industry unmatched by many and brings that passion to JBA Benefits. Jim was honored as a member of the Mass Mutual's Leaders Club and qualified for the industry's Million Dollar Round Table. Jim's company, Estate and Business, was also recognized for President's Club with Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina and was honored with Platinum status by United HealthCare. Jim's decision to merge his organization with JBA Benefits was important in order to better serve the clients' needs long term. Jim holds licenses in Life & Health and Medicare & Long Term Care.

After graduating from UNCG in 2002 with a Bachelor of Science degree, Chad began his career in the insurance industry and currently holds Property and Casualty, Long Term Care/Medicare and Life and Health Licenses. As sales leader for the Employee Benefits Division at JBA Benefits, Chad works with employer groups to improve the cost effectiveness of their employee benefits programs through the development of quantitative models. Chad continues to be one of the top producing agents in the industry and is passionate about providing continuous risk improvement measures comprised of minimizing costs while maximizing benefits for his clients.

Teri joined JBA Benefits, LLC in 2012. Teri brings over 25 years of experience in group health, self-funding, disability, life, and other voluntary benefits for mid-to-large size businesses. Her innovative approach and analytical skills generate significant premiums savings for clients coupled with her high-touch approach to customer service. Teri is an expert in health insurance reform and serves on multiple working groups developing the Health Benefit Exchange in North Carolina. She is a certified Life Underwriter Training Council Fellow (LUTCF). She is past president of the Triangle Association of Health Underwriters, past president of Raleigh Life Underwriters, and president-elect of the North Carolina Association of Health Underwriters. Her professional achievements include two Seabury & Smith Director's Council Awards. Teri graduated magna cum laude with two bachelor of science degrees in Business Administration and Marketing from Barton Collage NC.

Cheryl joined JBA Benefits in 2010. She brings with her almost two decades of employee benefit brokerage experience as well as comprehensive HR and compliance knowledge. Cheryl was recently named a 2011 Five Star Insurance Professional in North Carolina which is awarded to the top 2% of brokers in our state. As a trusted benefits adviser, Cheryl takes a highly consultative approach to fully understand the issues employers face today. She assists employers with addressing their organization's challenges and objectives through creative and effective benefit solutions which ultimately meet and exceed operational goals. Cheryl is a graduate of Virginia Tech with a B.A. in Political Science and holds licenses in Life & Health and Medicare & Long Term Care.

A native of Winston-Salem and a graduate of UNC Charlotte, Sarcanda brings 10 years of successful outside sales experience. Sarcanda was most recently Vice President of Sponsorship Sales for the Winston-Salem DASH minor league baseball team. She joins Allegacy because of the organizations core values and synergy concept. Sarcanda has a passion for selling a product that truly helps people while adding value to the company she represents.

Keenia is Wellness Certified and is involved with the client from the first stages of workplace wellness program creation to the final implementation and ongoing communication. Keenia takes a hands-on, proactive approach when assisting clients with their benefit programs. She believes that each clients' benefit package should be tailored to correlate with their corporate philosophy, satisfy budget limitations, and meet the needs of their individual employees. Leigh works with our clients as a liaison between the client and the JBA team. She assists with benefit strategy development and implementation of all products, services and carriers. She maintains a high level of contact with the client's HR team to ensure that their changing needs and goals are addressed timely and accurately. She also helps build and maintain effective professional relationships with clients by overseeing new and renewing groups. Liz is Past-President of the Triangle Association of Health Underwriters and current Chair for North Carolina Association of Health Underwriters' political action committee. She also serves on the 2012 NC Life & Health Agent Advisory Committee for the NC Department of Insurance.
